Site Assessment

Site Suitability Assessments for On-site Wastewater Treatment Systems

A site assessment is required by the planning authority in all cases where an planning application involves a proposal to use a septic tank or other on-site treatment system. Applicants must have a site assessment carried out in advance of making a planning application. The site assessments must be carried out by a member of the Clare County Council Waste Water Treatment Panel who are qualified to undertake site investigations using EPA (Environment Protection Agency) methodology.

We have been approved for the Clare County Council panel to carry out Site Suitability Assessments for Single Rural Homes and also to certify the installation of your waste water treatmenet system.

A site suitability assestment along with details of the on-site treatment system, must be submitted at the time of making a planning application.

Failure to submit the site assessment and details of the on-site treatment system will result in the planning application being invalidated.
